Tranquility

Tranquility...the quality or state of being tranquil; calmness; peacefulness; quiet; serenity.

Although our summer has had its adventurous, busy and wild moments it has also been filled with pockets of beautiful tranquility. Those moments where to catch you breath at the splendor of creation and pause to reflect.

A time to stop and enjoy the peaceful beauty of a sunrise.

Taking a break to dangle your feet in the water...

...and take in the beautiful view around you.

We were all able to get away and relax (as well as have some fun adventures) together at family camp for a week. There was lots of fun, water activities, games, good food and family time to be had.
I (Em) was at the same camp volunteering for awhile (hence the blog break) and Big Bro went there after I returned to volunteer as well.

There are lots of beautiful sights and views all around the camp and surrounding island and I really enjoyed photographing them. While surrounded by such splendid summer scenes, I love to absorb them into a photograph.

When stopping to think and absorb the beautiful landscapes and scenery it is easy to let your mind wander. Mine drifts back to the beautiful landscapes from our travels in Kenya...and of course that causes me to start thinking about the people and the smiles and the faces and it is easy to become caught up in the beauty of Kenya... (this is a common occurance for many family members!)

Resting in Tranquility,

Em

Hi Em, Just found your blog and have enjoyed reading and viewing your posts. You look like you have the makings of being a great photographer. Love the rocks on the beach and the spraying garden hose. LOVE those sort of things. Keep up the good work and I will continue to watch your adventures. Oh, if you have time, check out my humble blog. Lori
